TWIS #11

What i did last week was go to the park and and look threw dirt, soil to see if we wanted anything from it or in it for our spiders. It was actually really fun and entertaining. I'll like to do this filed trip again. the only thing was trying to find unique things for our spiders.we had a lot of good ideas of what to put in our basket/cage. we also chose to put a little middle piece in there because we found it to be interesting.

I didn't really have pictures because i didn't have a camera, somebody else took pictures of them.

this month in science #10

what we did this month was really interesting. It was way different from the projects this was more fun and different from everything. what we did this month was go outside and ask people questions about how they recycle through their life. Something else we did was draw a poster about waste so it they can make it into a T-shirt. There was people from other places come visit to see how we doing. That's some of the things we did this month.

this week wasnt hard or anything but sometimes it will be confusing. I will like to keep working like this it made me work harder and got my grades higher in this class. we finished the poster. its called one starts millions continue.

cricket investigation

Question: What do crickets prefer, fruits or vegetables?

Hypothesis: If I put fruit in one side and vegetable in the other, then the crickets will prefer the vegetable because they're always in grass.

Background Research: Crickets feed on organic materials such as plants and dead stuff, something else that they do is feed on their own dead when there is no other sources or food available. Crickets also have powerful jaws, some even bite humans. They have somewhat flattened bodies  and long antennae.

This picture shows my experimental setup. I put a pile of apples and a pile of celery in the cage.

This picture shows how I gathered data. As you can see, the crickets mostly stayed on the vegetable side.
